Inclusive innovation and networks of berry producers in Chile

The Ministry of agriculture of Chile asked a group of SPRU researchers to undertake a study of inclusive innovation of small berry producers supplying multinational buyers in the south of Chile. We use social network analysis to study networks of small producers and highlight the importance of public investment in science, technology and its link to agricultural extension services that has allowed the sector to establish itself. The project also emphasized the need to develop collective spaces for inclusion of small producers in upgrading. For presentation see:
